LSS Musical Theatre Company
The LSS Musical Theatre Company is a performance course for students in grade 7-12. Students in grade 7 & 8 from HD Stafford Middle School are invited to join LSS students in grades 9-12 for this off time table class. The class meets from 5-8 pm on Mondays, and therefore does not interfere with timetables or other electives.
The goal of the course is to build performance skills as an actor, dancer and singer in the genre of musical theatre, in a collaborative learning environment. Our productions give students the opportunity to work on a broadway style musical every year. Our annual productions take place in February/March, and run over two weeks.
Our Musical Theatre Company grew out of it’s original form at HD Stafford Secondary School over twenty years ago. Previous shows have included:
Chicago, Beauty & The Beast, Fame, Once Upon A Mattress, Les Miserables, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Shrek.
